ABSTRACT
This study was carried out to examine the effect of manager’s leadership style on the secretary’s productivity using Anambra motors manufacturing company Anambra State. Specifically, the study examined the effects of managers leadership style on the secretary’s productivity in ANAMMCO.the study also, identify the leadership style adopted by managers in ANAMMCO.the study further, determine whether organization influences manager’s leadership style. Furthermore, the study examined factors responsible for the type of leadership style adopted by managers in ANAMMCO. Lastly, the study find out the extent to which manager’s leadership styles affects the performance of secretaries in ANAMMCO. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 30 responses were validated from the survey. From the responses obtained and analyzed, the findings revealed that managers leadership style affect Secretaries commitment to work. Also, managers leadership style affects good behaviors towards increased productivity.lastly, managers leadership style causes unwholesome working environment and a poor relationship between the secretary and the manager. The study hereby recommend that managers should try and create a conducive environment for their secretaries in other for them to be productive.the study also recommend that managers should not use the autocratic style of leadership on their sub-ordinate in other to increase their productivity level. Lastly, that managers and organization should create an appraisal system in other to motivate the productivity of secretaries
